Granite Quality of China
There are many varieties of granite, forming the product series. According to the colors, granite discovered now in China may be classified into the light-colored, red, black and rare-varicolored series, of which the red and light-colored series predominate, accounting for about 80%, the black series takes up about 18%, and the rare-varicolored series is rare. In recent years, blue and green granite as well as star granite and granite with a play of color have been found successively.
Granite is good in quality; sells well on the market and can satisfy the needs of all aspects. The granite varieties that have been developed in China now are commonly good in quality, have their own characteristics and a complete range of grades and are easy to process. Their performances can be up to the relevant requirements of the building stone industry. There are all kinds of granite that can be used for different purposes, for example, granite suitable for decoration, granite suitable for the manufactory of high-grade gravestone, acid- and alkali-resistant granite for industrial uses, granite suitable for carving, and granite used for architectural elements. They are welcome on the domestic and overseas markets.
In terms of the colors, ordinary stone is dominant, while famous quality stone is less. The granite with explored resources is dominated by light red, flesh-red and gray ordinary stone. These stones sell well, but their values are low. Dark red and blue granite that can rival the famous quality products on the international markets is still insufficient.
